I started recycling years ago with my father making birdhouses out of old barn wood and recycled hardware! I gradually moved on to a cleaner and less dusty art form. I now make scarves out of recycled sweaters. The lambs wool sweaters are felted in my grandmothers wringer washer in my yard. The merino wool and cashmere are hand washed. They are all crocheted together with bamboo, wool, cotton, silk or sugar cane thread. I then use the left over bits to make my flowers and flower pins.
